Dwaraka Tirumala this
temple of Lord Venkateswara is auspicious one. This temple is also called as
Chinna tirupathi. It is believed that if you pray with your pure heart, he will
fulfill your desires. This place is located near Bheemadolu in West Godavari of
Andhra Pradesh. Co-Ordinates of this place is 16.570N 81.150E.
HOW TO REACH:
This place is near to Eluru which is the head quarters of
west Godavari. It is 42kms from Eluru and 26kms from Jangareddygudem. AP Govt
provides special bus facilities to this place, all major towns like
Rajahmundry,Eluru,Jangareddygudem are connected by road. You have to get down
at Bhimadole jn and from there it is 15kms to Dwaraka Tirumala.
Bhimadole railway station is a stop for only local trains
express & superfast trains don’t stop here. You have to plan for a
connecting train from Eluru or Rajahmundry.
HISTORY:
This Lord Venkateswara temple is situated on Seshachala hill
as per mythology a sage named Dwaraka unearthen
feet of Lord Venkateswara which was Swayambhu(self manifested) in an ant hill and worshipped it. So this
place was called as Dwaraka tirumala.
About 400 years ago a Idol from Tirupati was installed here near the swayambhu
feet of Lord Venkatewsara. It was believed that Aja Maharaja Grandfather of
Lord Rama was blessed by worshipping this temple. This temples fame was
flourishing from the kruta yuga. The unique feature of this temple is that two
idols are located in same Sanctum.
SEVAS &
FESTIVALS:
Every year two Brahmostavams are being performed. One is in
Vaisakhamasam (May) for the Self manifested Idol, other one is in Aswayuja
masam(October) for the installed deity.
Other than that daily sevas are conducted by devastanam and
devotees can participate.
